It’s funny how we have never before today made Almond Butter at home and we have been vegan for a year now. This was literally our first attempt at Almond Butter and it was finger licking good.
Being Vegans in India is not as difficult as some would imagine it to be. We have had our share of learning and panic in the beginning specially when we go out to eat. We would be paranoid with what goes into our food but with time we learned to order the right things.
Due to the Lockdown, we have been making everything at home and we have self taught a lot of Vegan foods like cheese, butter, cookies, cakes, pizza dough, pizza and much more.
100 gms Almond Butter
1 tbsp vegetable oil
Almond Butter Recipe
Put all your Almonds in a pan and heat it till you see the oil from almonds emerge
Step 1: After heating the almonds for 2 to 5 minutes, let them cool on a tray for 5 minutes before popping them in the mixer.
Step 2: Mix it well in the mixer for 5 minutes, when you start seeing the texture turn sticky add 1 tbsp oil to it
Step 3: Mix for another 5 minutes and its done. It should look like the image below
How to use:
You can put it on your bread or put it on top of milk and oats like the image below. It basically acts as a regular butter.
